I know this is late put Broc's new pollution airs tonight at 7 on fuel tv. If you can make it to the pub in destrehan by then you can watch it with him and a bunch of Bmxers going ape shit. It's going to be sweet. Congrats to BEEF Raiford!
Last week Broc put in some serious work in front of the camera. We spent two days filming a bike test video that is hopefully going to be on RIDEBMX.COM as soon as I can figure out why Final Cut wont play back the audio on the clips? Then on Sunday Jon Rogers (president and CEO of the 180 CLUB) came down and filmed with Broc. All three days Broc f-ing killed it and got some amazing clips that everyone will see very soon. here is a little screen capture of some of the stuff we got.
Cody Miller has some sweeet photos up on his flickr of him, mickey, and michael putting in work on their backyard ramp and box jump addition
nothing are nothing if youre pro like c-miller
i really really like this photo of mickey. prolly cause ill never be able to do those:)
lastly, just got new wheels, frame, tires, pedals... and pretty much everything else since X-mas and i freaking love it. best bike ive had so far
oh and i know most of you dudes check thecomeupbmx.net, well this dude was giving away these weird pedals to who ever email him first so i did and i got the pedal and they are retarded. they attach to your spindle and ill never ride them so if anyone is into weird/ scooter shit, you can have them and see if you like them. they remind me of something thomas would ride
Well, someone stepped up to the plate. Professional Graphic Designer, Photographer, and former editor of www.louisianabmx.com Fat Tony hasn't forgotten where he came from and took the time to make the professional flyer you see below. So check out www.fattonyenterprise.com and tell him thanks.
As you can see below, the Jam is on April 10th starting around 1 PM. We weren't able to get many sponsors but Miller Beer was able to give a 6 pack of High Life for first place so I'd like to thank Miller Beer.
Also, top pros Danny Josa and Justin Bayliss will be signing titties and foreheads from 2:46 PM to 2:47 PM so make sure you're there!
Lastly, I'm not doing anything so bring your own beer, bbq, and boombox.
So first of all, I totally forgot about the NOLA All Night Ride (Sorry!) on the 11th which would conflict with a Saturday BBQ on the 12th. Second of all, Danny called me today to let me know that his flight dates have changed slightly. He'll be in town from the 6th to the 11th so the BBQ would have to be on the 10th which is a Friday. Stephen Outten also posted in the comments that he's going to try and get the jumps running real good if time permits with his work schedule.
THE BBQ START ON FRIDAY, APRIL 10th AT 1 PM.
If someone would like to make a simple flyer for this and post a link to it in the comments, that would be awesome.
Also, Justin Bayliss, the Detroit ripper/nicest guy you'll ever meet/Andrew Sanford's twin is going to be in town from March 27th through April 12th so it's even more of a reason to come hang out while Justin and Danny are in town. It's looking like we will definitely be hitting up New Orleans and possibly Baton Rouge while these guys are in town. Here is a little video of Justin from 2008.
Danny Josa is coming visit from April 6th to April 12th. He wants everyone to come ride with him while he's out here. I think we're going to head to New Orleans to ride once and possibly Baton Rouge too. Maybe we can have some kind of bbq at the Dustbowl in Lafayette on the 11th since it's a Saturday. If you have any thoughts on this, let me know in the comments.
P.S. Danny will be offering flair lessons while he's out here so be sure to sign up on his myspace.
I guess the riders from metarie are planning another all night ride in New Orleans on April 11th starting at 11 at night till the weeeee hours of the morning if you would like to join. even if you dont want to ride, im sure it will be entertaining to watch Dirty Timmy try abunch of crazy shit. I leave you with a picture of Ronald Shields from last years All Night Ride:)
Fat sent this to me. Should be sweet. Not too sure who worded the sentence about tricks though... Anyway, peep it if you're in the area. Also, I know I've been M.I.A. Sorry. I may not get back on the ball til after the semester with the way things are going. Come ride the bowl, Lafayette>New Orleans>Baton Rouge all day.
For those of you that where around when Brock Gomez and Fat Tony produced an EPIC Louisiana bmx film (i barely just moved here when it came out), Fat just uploaded his section in "Chronicles" on his RIDEBMX.COM blog! Go there and take a walk down memory lane, have a good laugh, check out Fats youth Large sized shirts, whatever. Its def worth a quick peep. CLICK HERE TO CHECK IT.
ps if you leave a request in the comments for Fat to upload the WHOLE VIDEO on to vimeo, he will if enough people ask. You read right, the WHOLE LOUISIANABMX.COM CHRONICLES VIDEO!!!!! garrett renolds and dak roache dont have shit on it
So i just got done watching the new S&M video "I WANNA LIVE" and was completely shocked by how awesome it was. I guess i didnt like the trailer that much, and I didnt think they had that great of a team ( i guess i never really thought about it or even knew was on the team). Well, it was completely different from the your typical BMX editing which was refreshing, the music was freaking awesome, and all the parts were great with tons of freshness and HAMMERSAWS. Stand out parts for me were Randy Brown, Matt Beringer, Adam Baker (holy opposite 360s soooo goood) and Tony Cardona. Stricker and Cam Wood didnt wow me as much but the video still kicked ass and i recommend checking it out fo sho.
New Breeders is a complete worldwide spots directory Web site and they have just dropped a new iPhone application that helps you find spots on the road. Check out the official info here…
Press Release:
New Breeders launches iPhone App: searching spots has never been this easy.
It is no secret that riding new spots in new places is the best thing ever. Remembering these spots is just about as important as finding them. Therefore, New Breeders launches its iPhone application: adding, searching and finding spots has now gone mobile.
New Breeders: a quick recap. New Breeders is a website that lets you add, search and find spots and connect with friends anywhere in the world. After creating a profile, the spots you add pop up as pins on Google Maps. Add photos and videos to the spots and connect with your friends to let them know what spots you’ve been to and prefer visiting.
The iPhone application put to the test. After extensive testing in beta by pro rider Mark Vos, who literally put Barcelona on the map, and Amsterdam based shredder Virgil Persat, who didn’t miss a spot in his hometown, various bugs have been fixed and new functionalities have been added. New Breeders is proud to launch a lite and a full version of the iPhone application.
New Breeders Lite: immediate free access. The free version, New Breeders Lite, lets you get started right away. Fill in your email and name and start uploading spots, events, nightlife and places to stay immediately. The application will recognize where you are. Name that spot, take a photo (optional) and there you go: you’ve added a spot to New Breeders.
You Dig? Go for the full version! Has the New Breeders virus gotten to you? Can’t stop adding spots when you’re out roaring the city or touring along a beautiful coastline somewhere hot and warm? A full version of the New Breeders iPhone application is available as well. The full version has additional functionalities such as the possibility to browse other spots in the area, jumping to different cities and planning a roadtrip, rating the spot you just visited and checking out the top rated spots of your friends and the rest of the users. The full version is available in the App Store for a mere $1.99
