Not Too Much Goin' On 'Cept Fer Summer...

First of all, bike night at Buck Nutty's has been a lot of fun. It starts at 5 PM every Tuesday and it is only $5 to ride. Here is a picture of Jesus (by Tommy) going as fast as he can and doing a 180 from one bank to the other. I don't know if he pulled the rollback yet but it's worth $5 just to watch him go for it. Also, note that he's left foot forward and 180s to the left, so it's twice as cool.

Also, Jesus got an "LBS" tattoo. To all the n00bz out there, "LBS" stands for Lafayette BMX Society. So I guess he's down for life. Check that shit out.

Umm... I made a Lafayette BMX myspace and Hasslehoff made a New Orleans BMX myspace. Their respective links are http://myspace.com/lafayettebmx and http://myspace.com/neworleansbmx. Definitely check them out if you want to but we're not really adding people from out of town for the most part to keep the profiles from getting cluttered. They're kind of just a way for people from each city to post comments about sessions and stuff like that. We are also both working on getting more pictures of the spots we ride in our city.

I've been steadily working on the concrete bowl in Lafayette. We are moving forward still and it looks like it's going to be a little smaller than the most recent design I had posted. It will still be good though. We are hoping it will go out to bid sometime in August. The thing about building a concrete park is that only concrete park contractors can build it (and do a good job anyway) and since their are only a handful of concrete park contractors (that are COOL with bikes) in the country, they are always super busy which makes it just as hard to work out details with them as it is to get through the red tape of government. But like I said, we're still moving forward and I'm learning a lot in the process. Keep riding and be safe everyone.
