Just passing this along to anyone who's interested. It's a good thing.
"The BMX Riders Organization (BRO) is looking for dedicated people around the world to work on BMX advocacy.
Our Mission: BRO is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing information and assistance to those seeking public facilities for BMX freestyle.
We want legal, hassle-free places for people to ride. Our main focus is on skate parks, but we also believe that the same approach can be used to get sanctioned dirt jumping facilities and flatland spots. We will tackle these issues with a fresh perspective and will work closely with our experienced skateboarding counterparts to ensure success.
The re-launch will include a new website with lots of information including literature, statistics, news, and schedules of events.
As someone who is involved with BMX, we know you want to help other communities embrace their BMX riders. This is your opportunity to get involved on the ground floor of something big, sustainable, and deeply important. How often do you get the chance to be a founding member of something? Even one hour a week can make all of the world of difference.
Contact us and share with us what you have to offer!
In this, Tery Adams walks you through his Voodoo Jam experience as one of the organizers and riders in the contest. Brock Gomez filmed and edited this bad boy. enjoy!
Yooo! I'm going to Louisiana the first week of September and I'll have a bit of time to ride. I never get to see everyone or ride with many people when I go down there so I want to try to get everyone together for some street shredding on Saturday and Sunday (September 5th and 6th). I'll have the camera and can film a video for the Ride site if people want to throw down. If not, fuck it... Curb jibs and shooting the shit is fine with me. Hope to see you guys soon!
If you have been paying attention to RideBMX.com, you know that there is a video contest going. The winner gets to go to the Salt Lake City Dew Tour and compete in that. I probably couldn't clear a dew tour sized box if my life depended on it, but this is what Broc wants to do so to help him get there, ya gotta help him out! It is posted on the site right HEEERRREEE and you have to go there and leave some love for him in the comments. the more people siked on it, the better his chances of DEEWWWWWing it big at DEW TOUR. help a brotha out:)
ps. this was filmed in two days riding nola street and Ramp Age except the last clip we filmed the day we edited it in brla. filmed with a gl2 and edited by me and cody miller
So Deathwish came through Baton Rouge but most importantly, the boss was shredding in Baton Rouge. So pumped. Here are some pictures my girlfriend took of the boss. And Michael and I think Eric. If you don't know who the boss is, not only do you not skate, but you don't have any friends that skate either, probably (maybe).
